About us
Dr. Curt Schmitt has accompanied UNITARGET as an experienced college counsellor from the beginning and in January 2016 he became its director. He completed his Bachelor and Master in International Relations and History at the London School of Economics (LSE), before obtaining his PhD in History from the University of Cambridge. From 2003 to 2014 he held a number of positions at the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz in Switzerland: head of boarding, teacher of history and politics, tutor in the International Baccalaureate diploma programme (IB), head of admissions and head of college counselling. Dr. Schmitt lives near Hamburg.
UNITARGET was founded in 2011 by Bruno Steinkraus and Daniel Lobron, who met while studying at Imperial College London. Their goal was to counsel and support students applying to British universities. Lobron continued his studies with a Master in Nanotechnology at the University of Cambridge before embarking on a career as a data analyst with Google in 2015. Steinkraus is currently pursuing a PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Oxford. Thanks to their personal experience and excellent network they can look back at many successful applications. Steinkraus and Lobron keep close ties to UNITARGET.
